Leaving the UK at the end of February, after a couple of days in London exploring the wonderful Kew Gardens and the Garden Museum, I arrived back in Ottawa just in time for the next big snowfall!

So no sign of grass here for a while yet, but the days are not as cold and they are definitely getting longer. Not long now until we have 12 hours of daylight; although with the clocks going back the sunrise will be later. I am definitely looking forward to seeing the snow melt and being able to get out and garden.
What am I up to in March?

I have only just started sowing some seeds. My first ones are always my sweet peas which I grow mainly for myself as I love the scent. If you want to have a go at growing your own you can find my instructions here.
I am glad to be back at 613flea on Saturday March 18th from 10 – 4pm. You can find me and my dried flowers there along with 140 other great local vendors. I’ll have the usual selection of mini, regular and large bouquets plus a few exciting new ideas I’m trying out.
I’m looking forward to seeing you there!

My Newsletter
I finally managed to tackle the task of writing a newsletter and my first one went out to subscribers earlier this week. It has been a steep learning curve but hopefully it will now get easier. Anyone else struggling to keep up with changing technology?
Thank you for following my blog and if you’d like to also receive my once a month newsletter you can sign up here.
Until next time…enjoy the anticipation of Spring blooms!
