Hello Spring! Today finally felt like Spring arrived with blue skies, birds chirping and lots of activity in the garden that did not include shovelling snow.
The sweet pea seedlings are now out in the greenhouse and I seeded some more hardy flowers as well as some lettuce, arugula, broccoli raab and kale in the greenhouse too.

The seeds started inside under lights back in mid March are putting on growth, although I have had a problem with some damping off and fungus gnats this year. There are always challenges so if you are having problems starting seeds just try again!
I have also been busy with my dried flowers making bouquets for Morning Owl Parkdale and mini bouquets for The Loot Bag Lady as well as working on some new ideas.

And now for my big Easter announcement!
I will be doing a pop up shop on Saturday April 16th 11 to 5 at Plant & Curio Studio at 1160B Heron Road, Ottawa. I am really looking forward to being there and filling their lovely pop up space with all my dried flowers, bouquets, wreaths, arrangements and a few other special things.

So I hope you will save the date and pop by for some last minute Easter gifts and decorations. I’m looking forward to seeing you in person! Plant and Curio has a great selection of house plants and unique pots too as well as lots of other gifts. It is definitely worth a visit. See you there!
If you do not feel up to shopping in person you can shop from my order form or contact me for a special order.
Things to look forward too
Looking ahead to May, I will be planning my seedling sale and getting ready to sell fresh flowers. Both of these things depend on the weather so the dates will be announced later.
I would be interested to know how or where you’d like to be able to find my fresh flowers. There is always pick up from my home near Mooney’s Bay but I am looking for other ideas too. Would you be interested in bouquet subscriptions or even bulk buckets of flowers to arrange yourself? I am also considering holding garden tours and make a bouquet days here in the garden for small groups.
Let me know in the comments what you would be interested in.
But for now Happy Spring and Happy gardening! And don’t forget you can follow my day to day progress in the garden on Instagram.
Love your posts Rosalind. They are informative and pretty! I would be interested in a tour of your garden and hearing about how you select which flowers to grow. I would also like to attend a workshop in making bouquets or wreaths.
Thanks for your comment Theresa! I’ll keep those in mind as I plan.
This all sounds amazing and positive!
Wish I lived nearer so I could do a workshop with you .
Yes, I wish you were nearer too!
